Vienna - Graz

• FROM AIRPORT WIEN SCHWECHAT

There are busses that directly depart from the airport to the mainstation Wien Meidling. Since autumn 2009 it is the central station for arrival and departure to and from Vienna and replaces the former central station "Südbahnhof" which is closed for rebuilding.

Take the bus Nr. 1187 in direction "Wien Westbahnhof". The ride lasts approximately half an hour (between 6:00 and 24:00 there is a bus every 30 min.) Busticket ist 7€ (you can buy it in the bus).

Leave the bus at station "Wien Dörfelstraße" (Meidling Bahnhof), it's the first station of the bus. There are trains that depart regularly for Graz HBf.

• FROM TRAIN STATION WIEN MEIDLING

The train station "Wien Meidling" is since autumn 2009 the central station for arrival and departure to and from Vienna. It replaces the former central station "Südbahnhof" which is closed for rebuilding. There are trains that depart regularly for Graz HBf ever  hour (not at night, the last train is about 21:00 pm, check the schedule!).

Price from Vienna to Graz approx. 34€ (regular ticket).

We recommend you to get a ÖBB Vorteilscard, which costs 20€ if you are under 26 and gives 50% discount on all trains during 1 year. (Vienna-Graz approx. 17€). You can get it on the train station. Don't forget a picture of you.

Third option is to buy a special ticket for 9€ but you must buy it online at least 3 days before you travel (it is limited so it may be sold out as well). The disadvantage is that you must take the specific train you booked. If you miss the train you lost the money for the ticket.

AIRPORT GRAZ - GRAZ CITY

You can reach the inner city of Graz by public transportation. There is a bus station right before the airportbuilding, right close to the arrival area.

Take the bus Nr. 630 or 631 "Schwarzl See / IBC - Flughafen Graz - Graz".

There are three possibilities to leave in Graz:

1. Graz Griesplatz
2. Graz Jakominiplatz (Centre of Graz where many buses and tramways leave)
3. Graz Hauptbahnhof (Main station)

Price of the ticket is approx. 2€ (you can buy it in the bus) and is valid during 1 hour. In this time you can take all buses or tramways in Graz.
