On sunday 12.11. we'll walk onto Schöckl. The Schöckl is the main mountain of Graz. From here we'll have a very nice view, on nice days we can see till Slovenia.

The winter is coming, so take care that you have enogh warm clothes with you (gloves + cap). We take the bus to Stattegg from where we hike up the mountain. On the top we'll have a break and then we hike down to St.Radegrund,from where we take a bus back to Graz. We need 4 Zones/tickets to go and come back per person, so it would be good, when two of you buy a
10-ZONEN-KARTE together. It costs approx. 14,8€ and is valid for 10 journeys.

9.00 a.m. Jakominiplatz (at Sorger) - Sunday – 12.11.06
or
9.30 a.m. Andritz Endstation (tram #5)

Event:

• Tram #5 to Andritz - (1 Zone/journey)
• from there bus #53 to Stattegg – Sonnenhang
• Hike onto Schöckl (1030m altitude diff., 9km) appr. 3h
• Break/Bergjause (there is a „Berghütte“)!
• Hike down to St.Radegrund (660m alti. dif., 6km) appr. 2h
• Bus # 250 back to Graz (Arrival - Opernring) - (3 Zones)

Equipement:

suitable (good) footwear, food&drinks (warm tea), money (busticket), raincoat, warm clothes
When the weather is bad (rain), we'll postpone the hike.

This is a real hike (15km), not a walk!!
